Dr Tanya Obertik is a caring and experienced family General Practitioner with a truly global outlook.  Tanya grew up in South Africa before moving to Eastern Europe where she studied medicine. Tanya then moved to England where she undertook her hospital training and GP Specialist Training. In 2009, Tanya took the opportunity to move to Australia and has been a Queensland GP ever since.

Tanya is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, a Diplomate of the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. She has been an examiner for the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and medical students. Alongside her work as a GP, Tanya is also undertaking a special interest ENT clinic at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital to diagnose and treat disorders and diseases of the ear, nose, throat, head and neck.

Tanya's areas of interest are women’s health, reproductive health, children’s health, pregnancy & family planning, chronic disease management and ear nose throat disorders.
