Alex is an experienced and devoted Australian trained General Practitioner and Rural Generalist who lives on the Sunshine Coast with his young family and wife Dr Kate Baggott. Alex holds Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and Fellowship of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine.

Alex is passionate about preventative health and all things general practice. Alex’s special interests include women’s health, reproductive health, family planning, sexual health, children’s health, skin cancer, travel medicine and weight loss.

Alex is a GP Obstetrician and Senior Medical Officer with Queensland Health and holds an Advanced Diploma with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. Alex provides comprehensive antenatal services and holds shared care arrangements with the Sunshine Coast University Hospital. Alex has also undertaken further training in Paediatrics and completed the Diploma of Child Health Sydney Children’s Hospital Network. More recently Alex completed his Master of Public Health and Tropical Medicine through James Cook University. Alex is trained in a broad range of procedural work including Mirena insertion and removal, Implanon insertion and removal, wound care, plastering and casts, and skin cancer surgery.
