Located in Kawana Waters, our medical practice offers initial and renewal Aviation Medicals for commercial and recreational pilots and air traffic controllers (ATCs).
Maintain optimal health on the ground and in the air with Dr Daniel Wilde, a Designated Aviation Medical Examiner (DAME) registered with the Civil Aviation Safety Authority. Dr Wilde can conduct the following:
- Class 1, 2 and 3 Aviation Medical Certificates
- Referrals for private blood test results, audiology and eye examinations as required.
Your appointment
All medicals require a 30-minute appointment with one of our Practice Nurses followed by a 30-minute appointment with Dr Wilde.
If required, an ECG can be provided on the day of your appointment for an additional cost.

Do you wear contact lenses or glasses? You must also bring along the backup contact lenses or glasses you will use during flying as these need to be tested as well.
Requirements for booking
Please provide your ARN to our reception at the time of booking. Dr Daniel Wilde will review your record and determine which additional age-based tests* will be required for your age.*Additional tests may be required for Class 1 and 3 medical certificates. There are no special requirements for Class 2 medical certificates unless clinically indicated.
Prior to your assessment
Please complete the Medical Questionnaire and pay all processing fees prior to your appointment to avoid assessment delays or additional fees.
Private blood test results, audiology and eye examination will be referred out privately. These referrals will be provided to you to carry out at least 3 days prior to your appointment.
